Everyone is welcome to train regardless of rank or experience levels. Visitors are always welcome to watch classes.
Please note that the class schedule and Instructors are subject to change. We work to create substantive training opportunities for everyone. The class instructors may change as circumstance requires. If there is a specific instructor you wish to see, please contact us for their position on the schedule. Class Descriptions
Fundamentals Classes
These classes have a focus on introducing Aikido basics, training procedures, Budo principles, and the dojo standards/etiquette. Emphasis is on Ukemi and physical mechanics using standard ASU curricula and techniques.

These classes are designed for students with less experience. If you have never trained Aikido or any martial art before, these classes are the place to begin and grow. You are welcome however, to participate in all other classes as well.
Concepts Classes
Everyone is welcome to participate in these classes, regardless of experience. The direction of the class will range from a more experienced understanding of Aiki concepts and movement to advance Yudansha training.

Buki Waza / Weapons Classes
Aikido Weapons study, and the integration of weapons principles as they relate to movement in ASU kata, Aiki and empty hand training. At the discretion of the teacher, any class may spend a part or most of a class on weapons study.
Senior Instructor Focus
Steve Fasen Sensei – Tuesdays and Thursdays
Chief Instructor of Shindai Dojo – ASU 6th Dan / Senior Instructor – Ueshiba Juku
The focus of these classes is on advance unification perspectives and principles through developing the Aiki interaction, weapons handling and integration of the Aiki Body. Fasen Sensei includes ASU Weapons study. We look to build a deeper understanding through unification mechanics to enhance Aikido dialogue, including Aiki internal concepts.
All are welcome to attend. Individual attention will be given to everyone at their experience level.

Daito Ryu Aiki jujitsu Ginjukai
Dimitri Deglas Sensei – – Saturdays
This Daito Ryu Aiki jujitsu class is available to all Aikido students. It is held to articulate, through movement, the mechanical and internal foundations of Aikido’s predecessor. Foundational to the evolution of Aikido, Dimitri Sensei provides his experienced perspectives after years of study in Aikido and Daito Ryu Ginjukai under Okamoto Seigo Sensei.
