Brian Davis Sensei (ASU Yondan)
Brian grew up in Indianapolis and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana where he studied the art of Landscape Architecture design.
After relocating to Dallas, Tampa and then Orlando, where he executed Landscape Architectural projects across the United States, he was introduced to Aikido in 1990 and studied under Eric Stein and Ed Baker Sensei. He was introduced to Dennis Hooker Sensei and Shindai Aikikai in 1992 and has studied and instructed at the Orlando dojo ever since.
Brian has studied Aikido extensively at national seminars across the country and in particular over the past fifteen years with Saotome, Ikeda and Doran Shihan at the summer intensive camp in Colorado.
Along with his Aikido study, Brian has extensive training in the sword arts including Toyama Ryu Iajutsu with Bob Elder Sensei and Eishin Ryu Iajutsu with Dennis Hooker.
Since 1995 he has also studied Chinese Kung Fu with Wing Chun Master Sifu Karl Godwin of Orlando. This training has had a profound influence on Davis Sensei’s Aikido.
